Today I can ride a bike very well. But three years ago, it was too hard for me to ride a bike. Now I still remember my first time to ride a bike.

I often fell off the bike, but I didn’t stop riding. First I asked my father to help me with my bike. Next, let him not help me and I rode alone. Then I could ride a few minutes. I kept practising. Finally I could ride a bike to school. I was very happy. From this thing, I know nothing in the world is impossible if you set your mind to do it.

When I was in Grade X,I had to read a novel during the summer vacation.It was difficult for me because I had never read any of English stories before.I was trapped in the beginning. I didn't really understand what was going on in the story.I was bored and annoyed with the book.So I threw it on the floor full of shame.

Then my father came into my bedroom and picked up that "poor" book.He told me not to let the book beat me.I calmed down and tried again.With my father's help,I finally finished reading the story.And I found it quite interesting.

Thanks to my father,I got a good start in reading English novels.I beat the novel but also learn that I shall never give up and keep trying.
