Although there have been rumors that the Democratic Party's US presidential candidate, Carrie Lam, will change the tough regulatory stance on cryptocurrencies during the Biden administration. According to information shared by Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett, the 2024 party manifesto officially released by the Democratic Party on the first day of the National Committee did not mention blockchain technology, Bitcoin, digital assets, or any content related to cryptocurrency.

In contrast, the Republican Party's 2024 manifesto explicitly states:

"The Republicans will end the Democrats' illegal and non American suppression of cryptocurrencies, and oppose the creation of the digital currency of the Central Bank. We will defend the right to exploit Bitcoin, and ensure that every American has the right to keep his digital assets on his own and conduct transactions without government supervision and control."

Regarding this point, many people have expressed that although the Democratic Party verbally supports cryptocurrency, they are still anti innovation in their bones. No matter how much they say, it is only to deceive votes. Cryptocurrency is definitely not a priority for the Democratic Party.

No news is good news

However, some people have expressed different opinions. CEHV partner Adam Cochran pointed out that the lack of mention of cryptocurrency in the manifesto itself is a good shift.
